Rarely do schools realiz program, its value and meaning is amongst the most important
things a school can do. The financial success of this program which happens at the
beginning of the school year lessens the stress on its parents and lessens the financial
stress on the overall school population. The success of this program often will eliminate
athletic program fees for all students that wish to participate in sports programs
throughout the school year. Each school we have conducted this program with has
continued this program, although we have now moved on to Hawaii.
The Haunted Horror House of Sports ... is successful because it is an activity which engages all sports, in a fun enjoyable manner, during the time of year that all competitive and non-competitive sports are set to begin.
Haunted Horror House of Sports
The month of October:
 - Football season is in full blast.
 - Basketball season has just begun.
 - Soccer is in mid season.
 - Volleyball is in pre-season
 - Baseball
 - Professional baseballs (MLB) most exciting time of year is in October.
 - MLB playoffs and MLB World Series are happening on television during October.

All elements combined and all elements considered make for OCTOBER to be one of the most popular months for sports and more specifically YOUTH sports.
October boasts a readiness that no other month features.
Halloween a traditionally child-centric holiday, is the only holiday featured in the month of October.
October is exactly when the sports-minded community is the most energetic and most feverish because of the afore mentioned exciting fall youth and adult sports seasons.

There are substantial differences in our Sports related Halloween activity in contrast to other Halloween activities.
This activity is sports related and is physical, just like actual sport activity.
Volunteers/Ghouls during the event can possibly take (momentary) prisoners to a designated place and “torture” the participants.
Volunteers…. I mean “ghouls”, throw red-dye water balloon “grenades” signifying participants being drenched in blood. (The program would NOT do this indoors).
Ghouls and large monsters chase the participants constantly throughout the experience which cause VERY LOUD and VERY REAL unexpected screams.
Ghouls and monsters “capture” participants and “forcefully” take the participants to areas specific to their sport.
For example, “Midfield Murderers” (soccer) will take “hostages” to a very scary soccer area and will “torture” the participants with stationary soccer drills.
For example, “shooting” guards (basketball) armed with water guns will violently “rob” and “harass” participants with stationery basketball drills.
Each area lasts for 10 - 15 minutes and concludes with the participants having earned Halloween candy.
Each school has a different amount of scary areas because each school has a different amount of sports and sports teams that participate.
In some states and schools, this entire event can be conducted inside the school as classrooms act as the sport specific areas, in other states, the football field and soccer fields can be transformed into the scary areas by
using tents and canopies.
It is NOT uncommon for 2,000 - 3,000 participants, families, neighborhoods, recreation teams, and other schools to be welcomed at the event……each weekend.
Many children and most local students tell their entire neighborhoods about the Sports Related Haunted House.
I purposely make mention of the Haunted House during my in school assemblies and demonstrations.
This activity is not your normal haunted house.
It is extremely loud and has both an extraordinary cardio and exercise element.
After one hour, the entire event is over, a horn sounds and everyone exits all rooms and activities.
Because of the popularity of this event, some “crazy” schools and recreation centers continue this program into November because Halloween is the final day of October
! We conduct a similar program “black” Friday (Christmas) and March “Madness” times.

PRIOR TO ENTERING THE ACTIVITY…….
Participants, Parents, Adults, General Public, Families are given a momentary “INFORMATION & SAFETY SESSION” prior to entering the activity.
